In addition to luxury hotels, beautiful beaches, and first-class restaurants, there is an unparalleled nightlife scene in Playa del Carmen. Here we offer a few ideas if you’re looking to dance the night away, eat great food or grab some drinks with friends!
Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen
The first Coco Bongo to be built in our area opened in the Cancun Hotel Zone at The Party Center. With its great success, it was just a matter of time before Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen opened. It’s definitely on the top of the list of places to visit when in this area. With its Las Vegas vibe as well as its music and shows, you don’t want to miss this experience! Coco Bongo Playa del Carmen is located on the corner of 10th Avenue and 12th Street. It’s very easy to find especially if you are staying in Playa del Carmen.
Remember, you’ll need tickets to get into Coco Bongo and there are two options to choose from:
Regular Entrance:
- Standing Room Only, Admission, Shows, Transportation to Coco Bongo (where applicable), Open bar (domestic drinks) until 3:30 a.m., many liquors are available as well as beer, cocktails, water, soft drinks, and juices.
- With Regular Entrance, we recommend you arrive to get in line by 10:00 pm
- Coco Bongo Regular Prices: Mon.-Fri. – $70 USD; Sat. – $75 USD (subject to change)
Coco Bongo Gold Member:
- Admission, Shows, Open bar (international drinks) until 3:30 a.m., Transportation to Coco Bongo (where applicable), preferential entrance, an exclusive area limited to 120 people per night, Personalized service, many liquors are available as well as cocktails, water, soft drinks, and juices.
- Doors open at 10:30 for the Gold Member tickets
- Coco Bongo Gold Member Prices: Mon.-Thurs. – $130 USD; Fri., Sat. – $150 USD (subject to change)
Señor Frogs
Located right off of Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen you will find the famous Señor Frogs. Known all over the world as one of the places to visit when in Playa del Carmen, this place has it all. Great food, great drinks, fun servers, and an amazing view of the beach and the turquoise waters. This is a fairly casual environment so feel free to arrive in your shorts and flip-flops. Open from 12 noon to 1 a.m. this place will have you dancing, and eating, as they also prepare specialty drinks all night long.
Palazzo Disco
At Palazzo Disco you can enjoy all the fun and excitement of nightlife in the Riviera Maya. Located on the famous 12th Avenue, in the heart of Playa del Carmen, this is one of the favorite venues for all partygoers that want to dance until dawn. A roof full of disco balls, elegant decorations, chandeliers, and an electrifying atmosphere distinguishes Palazzo Playa del Carmen from other clubs. If you like to dance or just want to hang out and listen to music, this is the club for you! Palazzo Playa del Carmen opens 3 times a week and each night offers a theme party: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Abolengo Playa
This “bartina” or “little bar” is located on 12th Avenue along with many of the best nightclubs in Playa del Carmen. It is the definition of fusion, the blending of a Mexican cantina and a sophisticated modern bar. This is the perfect place to start your evening. Besides its unique decoration, another trademark of Abolengo Playa is its amazing cocktails that you won’t want to miss. Open daily, Abolengo Playa del Carmen is the ideal place to begin a great evening!
Mandala Playa Nightclub
Mandala Nightclub is one of the favorite spots to enjoy Playa del Carmen’s eclectic nightlife. Located in the heart of Playa on 12th Avenue, Mandala is frequented by cosmopolitan people who want to celebrate until dawn. Its two levels are decorated in an Asian style and offer an exceptional music selection with fabulous service making Mandala Playa the place to be.
